Born the 4th Januar 1943 in Castelnuovo Don Bosco (AT) (Piemonte Region)-Italy and resident in Bordighera (Liguria Region) in the Ligurian West Coast – Italy

I have spent my infancy and adolescence in my parents and grandparents’s typical restaurant “Piola” of Turin with service of so much wine and little food.

After graduating in the restaurant and hotel accommodation school in Torino, where I achieved the qualification of waiter and bartender after several experiences in France, Great Britain and Suisse, my parents bought a restaurant “Ristorante Nuovo Regio” and subsequently a 3 stars hotel “Hotel Luxor” in Torino – Italy in 1961.

In 1966 I embarked on the flagship of the Italian fleet, "Michelangelo" as waiter of 1st class. On board I had the occasion to deepen my international knowledges, with dishes and spectacular buffets made by great chefs.

In the same year my parents bought the “Hotel Parigi” in Bordighera (IM)-Italy overlooking the sea. Now It is a 4 stars hotel with all the comforts, an equipped beauty center, a private beach and a restaurant with the famous wine cellar.

  • 1967: member A.I.S. , Italian Association Sommeliers.
  • 1969: I participated at the 1st Contest for Best Sommelier of the World in Bruxelles (A.S.I.) and Italy was the 2nd qualified nation
  • 1971: Winner of the Best Sommelier of the World in Milan; I held it until 1977 (A.S.I.).

1973: Opening of a new Restaurant "TASTEVIN" “the wine’s restaurant” in Turin (Piemonte Region) until the 1987 with wines service also with the cart in front of the client table and combining food-wine according to the ordination, making to pay only the glass; possibility to change many different wines in every table to do the correct "mariages." The sommelier had available a great Italian and foreign wines menu with climated closets and wine cellars, the “cave du jour”, Riedel’s glasses and so on.

In the 70’s: vice president of A.S.I. and A.I.S. and actually also a member of A.S.P.I. (Italian Professional Association Sommeliers)

In 1984 I became owner of the Restaurant "La Reserve" and the “Hotel Parigi” in Bordighera - Italy both with furnished wine cellars and now, with my two sons, Davide and Mario (graduated as Food & Beverage & Marketing managers), we conduct our tourist-receptive activities Food & Beverage.
