The Story of the Chinese Logo explained to western people !
This ancient three legged royal wine cup (inside the contemporary glass) was made to taste the best wines since ancient West Han time (B.C. 202) by imperial families and nobles. From the history, this cup was carved out of fine jade in order to give a luminescent and translucent nature.
The logo colour is not only design to reflex the wine colour but also blend in “Royal Red” which is the same colour on the pillars of the imperial palaces in Mainland China.
The iconic dragon symbolize the commonality of oriental divine spirit in Asia-Oceania. The myth of power and agility for being a professional sommelier!
The font was carefully selected from this ancient history and blended to Hong Kong in Chinese Characters.
The A.S.I. integrated this Chinese logo, created by a famous Hong Kong designer, in the official 2015 Contest, reflecting the image of the international contests logos.
