The Association de la Sommellerie Internationale, managed since November 2010 by Shinya Tasaki, 1995 Best Sommelier of the World, definitely shows its will of being totally neutral and financially independent.
Thus, its partnership policy fundamentally changed.
Traditionally, one very big sponsor used to support A.S.I. activities. Which was finally weakening the association that could not afford planning medium and long term programs.
From 2011, the Board of A.S.I. and the Public Relations, Communication & Marketing Committee, started a partnership plan ensuring Shinya Tasaki’s ambitious policy a good balance and financial comfort.
That is why, for the 1st July, 2011 – 30th June 2014 period, partnership agreements were signed with :
- Moët & Chandon, still « Historical Partner of A.S.I. »
- ARC International, with its brand Chef & Sommelier
- Austrian Wines Marketing Board
- C.I.V.A, Alsace Wines Interprofesional Committee
- Peter Lehmann & Hess Family Estates
- SanPellegrino & Acqua Panna
- SommelierS International, official magazine of A.S.I.
Actually, we are also negociating with Wines of Portugal. If we meet an agreement, the list of the official and international partners of A.S.I. will be closed, the diversification we were looking for, being then sufficient.
The partners of A.S.I. who will, anytime, take advantage of this link with the international sommellerie, will get a very good exposure on all the supports used by A.S.I. And also on the occasion of A.S.I. Contests of the Best Sommelier of the World, of Europe, of the Americas and of Asia-Oceania, organized, each of them, every three years.
One of the key supports showing the image and the informations of our partners will be, no doubt, the new A.S.I. website, starting in July 2011. Companies from all over the world will also have the opportunity of buying an advertising banner on the pages of the National associations members of A.S.I. with a replica of their logo on the home page.
